Are you concerned about what our kids are learning about our country? Our history? Our free market economic system? Who our society holds up as role models?
Do you believe America is an exceptional country, and that our way of life and classic American values need to be continued through future generations?
We do, too!
That’s why Lumen Student News is different than all the rest.
Unlike CNN and Channel One, we believe America is an exceptional country, and we’re not afraid to show it!
While politicians like Bernie Sanders want to turn America into a socialist Scandinavian country where everything is “free,” the sky is always blue and the grass is always green, we’ll emphasize that it was free enterprise and less government regulation that drove the engine to create new medicines and procedures to make us healthier, or that profit motive was what led Apple to create the iPhone or Uber to challenge the heavily regulated and unionized taxi industry.
Lumen Student News is delivering 10 minutes of news to middle and high schoolers every weekday, year-round.
We’re telling students about what is happening in their country and world, and exploring big topics like the importance of Free Speech and individual rights, amazing Americans and places in our country, and how free markets and free peoples have revolutionized the world.
We’re profiling innovators and entrepreneurs, and emphasizing the importance of work, including skilled jobs. Too often, the system tells kids they have to have a four-degree to be successful in life. On the contrary, many Americans have fulfilling jobs and aren’t saddled with thousands of student loan debt.
We have assembled an incredible group of hosts and correspondents who are delivering high-quality news on a daily basis.
You can read our Values Statement right on our website.
We hope you’ll join us.

We have a lot planned. This month, we’ll be releasing a special on the importance of free speech. It will feature leading voices in the fight, including the executive director of the First Amendment Center at the Newseum in Washington, D.C.
Later this year, we will be sending a team to the Holy Land, where we will produce a special series connecting Bible stories to their actual locations today.
We won’t shy away from controversial topics. While many in the media ignore the plight of women in Middle Eastern countries, we’re going to shine a light on how countries like Saudi Arabia and Iran treat women.
And, of course, we’ll continue to focus on stories of patriotism and pride in America.
Join us in being a part of the movement to change what students are learning about our country, our history and the positive impact Americans are having on the world.
